We’re Off!

Hello Everyone!

Thanks you for the support! We are officially leaving Seattle and headed to France for our first destination. We rented out our house at the beginning of the month, Mae finished school, we celebrated 2 weddings in Colorado, and we wrapped up last minute errands. Saying goodbye to all of our friends and family has been heart wrenching, even knowing we’re returning in a year.

Our friends Wes and Daphne surprised us with this phenomenal travel logo to use as we embark on all our travels. While I don’t think they expected us to dive into the symbolism, as space enthusiasts, it’s only natural to have a symbolic “mission patch” for the year ahead. We see the compass to direct us and remind us of our goals and where we came from. The plane taking off naturally aligns with embarking on this adventure, after which, we’ll never quite be the same. The train is for chugging along through all the inevitable travel and parenting challenges (“I think I can, I think I can…”). The ship is a good reminder that it’s about the journey and not the destination. And the stars – well, what proper mission patch doesn’t have stars?? Seriously, google it.

Thank you for being here. We’ll try to post every week or so for those that want to follow along.
